Creating all the cozy Fall feels in your home is easier than you might think. What comes to mind when you think of Fall? I think of fall leaves in all their glorious colors of rust and yellow. Pumpkins, Candy Corn, Pumpkin Spice Lattes, Cozy Plaid Blankets in fall colors, and Fall scented candles. Most of the above mentioned items can be found in your own backyard and your grocery store!
I just checked Amazon and searched for "Plaid throws for fall". Several beautiful ones are listed for under $40 and one was only $21. I have a plaid oversized shawl in my closet-- it doubles as a fall throw for my bed :)
When your trees start to change into those beautiful fall colors, cut several stems that are three times the height of the container you have chosen to hold them in. You may need to trim them down a bit once you see them in your container. This can be a centerpiece for your dining table, coffee table, or kitchen island.
Real pumpkins can be purchased at your grocery store or local Trader Joes in many colors. The traditional orange or the more subtle hues of cream and green are available - the earlier you look in the season the more likely you are to find the perfect ones.
If you love the fabric pumpkins, rummage thru your old sweaters for one that may be on the way to the donation box. Cable knit sweaters make especially nice fabric pumpkins. There are lots of no-sew tutorials on You Tube to help you make these pretty DIY pumpkins.
A stack of mini pumpkins on a beautiful old vintage breadboard, with your favorite Fall candle- make for the perfect little vignette.
